  • UN World Youth Conference - have your say!

Alex Engel, Caritas Australia's Campaigns Coordinator, will be representing the youth of Australia at the UN World Youth Conference in Mexico 23 - 27 August.

The conference is a space where youth, government and civil society organisations will come together to target youth issues towards the Millennium Development Goals deadline of 2015 and beyond.

One billion youth live in the world today with 85% living in developing countries. It is critical for youth issues to be on the global development agenda.

Fill in this two minute survey and Be a Voice at the UN!

This year the three days of grassroots activities focus on water. The Weekend gives you a chance to understand the vulnerabilities of millions living without access to clean water and learn more about local water conservation initiatives.

Register your school, parish, family and friends and take action for social and environmental justice!
  • New PM, same issue - Climate Change

Climate Change ActionKeep climate change on the top of the Prime Minister’s agenda!

PM Julia Gillard has indicated it would be business as usual on emissions trading under her watch, because there wasn't a community consensus on the need for a price on carbon. By shelving the Emissions Trading Scheme the Labor party has deferred action until 2013.

Urge Ms Gillard to keep her party's promise to take the threat posed by climate change seriously - Send her an email and make your voice heard!
