Alanna’s vision for a better world is one where everyone has access to the basic needs for life. “We have enough resources for everyone to have their basic needs met,” says Alanna. “We just need to share.”

Alanna is part of her school’s social justice group HOPE (helping overcome poverty everywhere). HOPE has made Be More their focus for the year. “It is a great concept. We are always focusing on the bad in the world but this is more positive. The Be More campaign just makes sense. If we focus on being more as a person we can also be more to others.”

Alanna has committed to appreciating life, reducing, reusing and recycling, writing to her local politician and being an active global citizen.
